The Supplies You need

  • Gloves
  • Potting mix
  • Certified seed
  • Container or pot
  • Water

How to grow arugula in containers

  • Choose a container and make a drainage hole in it.
  • Use the gloves and fill the container with potting mix.
  • Make a hole with your fingers in the soil at a distance, put 2 or 3 seeds in a hole. You do not need to make a deep hole to grow the plant. Make a 1/2 inch hole.
  • You can plant 5 to 6 seeds in a container. If you are taking a big container then 9 to 10 seeds are enough. Or you can also take it as you wish.
  • Cover the seeds with an additional potting mix.
  • Now is the time to water the seeds, give them as much water as they need.
  • Put your container in the window sill, or where the direct sunlight comes.
  • Arugula takes 10 to 15 days to sprout. But make sure to care of them.
  • Once the seedlings are 4 to 5 inches long, you can use them for a dish. If you want the plant to continue to grow then cut the outer leaves.
