Tips Before Growing Jalapenos

Jalapenos seeds require a temperature of about 65 to 80 degrees to flourish and grow. The warmth source is very necessary for developing jalapenos, if the temperature is not hot, the seeds do not germinate and die. Make certain that jalapenos want 12 to 15 hours of sunlight a day.

  • Soil & Potting mix
  • Water

Buy certified seeds from stores, and make sure that how many plants you desire to grow.”

Step1. Choose the containers in which you want to plant the seeds, or you can also choose plastic bottles it’s up to you. If you are taking plastic bottles then cut the bottles from the center and be sure to make a drainage hole in the bottom.

Step2. Fill the container or bottle with potting mix soil, and water well.

Step3. If you are using containers, gently pour three or four seeds per container at a depth of 1/4 inch, and for plastic bottles pour two or three seeds per bottle and cover the seeds with soil.


Step4. Place the container and bottle in a warm place (75-80°F). For best results, keep the soil moist and this process will take 15 to 25 days for the seeds to germinate. Place the container where sunlight comes 12 to 15 hours a day.

Step5. Once your seed germinates and three to five leaves arrive, transfer them to another container for better growth.

Step6. Make sure your younger members are placed in a light source where sunlight comes in 12 to 16 hours a day. If the sunlight does not come anywhere in your home then you can also use artificial grow lighting.

Step7. After all process, caring is the main part of growing any plant. So take care of your young member, give them as much water as they need.

Now in a few months, your Jalpano will start growing and will be eligible to make a dish!
